By the Light of the Moon... Sept 2020

astrology readings webinars jyotish charts

The Full Moon on Sept 2nd, 2020 occurs in sidereal Aquarius in the fierce and watery lunar star of Shatibisha symbolized by an empty circle. This is a challenging lunar star that can cause purification through severe loss, earth changes or addiction. In the same breath, it can also bring about heroic cure seekers, healers and mystery solvers. As we move into September, this full moon will herald a very exciting and auspicious time in our universe! From Sept 2-13, approximately seven planets will be occupying their own signs. This hasn’t happened in 500 years! When a planet occupies its own sign, it is considered at full capacity, strong and awake. Consequently, some say we are on the brink of a new era of truth and light called the Sat Yuga. In order to bring in this truth and light, Mother Earth is preparing her people and the land for a massive transformation on all levels. This may not be easy and may even feel as if our world is at war, but there is a pot of gold that awaits those that trust in the process. Toxic relationships and jobs will naturally dissolve this Fall. Long awaited soulmates may stumble upon each other out of the blue. This is an exciting time to be alive! Trust and let go of worry because we are all being divinely guided even if it doesn’t always feel like it. Magic is unfolding behind the scenes. Focus on what you want to create and bring into the Sat Yuga when your mind starts to wonder. This may not be all hearts and flowers initially, but the sweetness of life will soon be renewed if we can stay in the eye of the storm and love ourselves and each other unconditionally.

The New Moon on Sept 17th, 2020 will occur in sidereal Virgo within the kind-hearted lunar star of Uttara Phalguni, symbolized by the hammock. This lunar star will bring a desire to help one another. There may be a sense of hope and renewal, yet an underlying sense of more change on the horizon as the nodes of the moon change signs in October. They only change signs every eighteen months. Venus will be destabilized by Saturn and Mars, giving rise to the end of many abusive relationships and the beginning of new love as she happily sits in Moon’s sign of Cancer. This new moon is asking what you’d like your new life to look like. Dream big! The day of the new moon is powerful time to set new intentions for our “new normal” by using an ancient ritual associated with Buddhist Stone Stupas. Stone Stupas are the piling of three or more stones on top of one another. It’s a platform for a prayer intention. While taking a stroll in nature, choose three or more stones that call to you. Hold them close to your heart and attune with them. Next, choose a sacred place in nature that you love. Write your intentions/prayers on a small piece of paper and fold it three times so it fits in the palm of your hand. Gently blow your intentions into each stone with gratitude. Place that folded paper under your first stone, which is usually the largest one. The smallest one will be at the top. As you build your stupa upward towards the heavens, visualize your intention/prayer being taken into the star nations where loving celestial beings will help you actualize your dreams. We are all in this together.

The difference between the tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac is about 23 degrees. Both systems have value. Sidereal astrologers believe the qualities of the signs are not related to the seasons, but rather to the specific portions of the ecliptic as measured against the fixed lunar stars.

Sidereal Moon Astrology Forecast for August 2020

Published in Natural Awakenings Magazine Moon Report Aug 2020

The Full Moon on Aug 3th, 2020 occurs in sidereal Capricorn in the wise lunar star of Shravana symbolized by the ear. It may be a time where the world will “hear” some intense revelations. While full moons tend to bring things to fruition, this emotional full moon is sitting with police-like Saturn in Capricorn and sweet Venus is sharing the house of Gemini with the head of the proverbial serpent called Rahu at the exact degree. Rahu is the north node of the moon and tends to stir things up. Venus is the keeper of love and peace, but may not be able to do her job with Rahu directly on top of her during the month of August. This may ignite trouble with romance personally, while encouraging more rioting globally. The moon will have an affinity with Uranus during this time because they are nearly at the same degree. This alignment may bring many unexpected events ranging from earth changes, crazy weather, electrical/technology issues and more political upheavals. Don’t buy into the chaos. Focus only on those things you can change. Allow everyone their opinion. Retrograde Jupiter, the destroyer of darkness and chief financial officer of the cosmos, won’t be of much help during this time because Pluto is only a few degrees away in the same house dumping tar on his wings. The moon is asking her children (us) to stay in the eye of the storm with full awareness. To help reduce anxiety, use your “shravana” ears to listen to peaceful music, meditate, be in nature, frolic in the ocean, eat cooling foods, pray, be kind and trust your intuition first and foremost.

The New Moon on Aug 19, 2020 will occur in sidereal Leo within the royal lunar star of Magha, symbolized by the throne. This also happens to be the lunar star under which Trump’s was born. This may bring in a time where the world is focused on leaders, especially Trump. New moons are a lucky time to begin new things, find new jobs, reinvent one’s life, or adopt a new belief system that bring more joy. Mars, the warrior, will be in his own sign of Aries giving him courage to fight. The Sun, ruling over governments and power will also be in his own sign of Leo, magnifying his strength to lead the masses. This may cause more war-like events as well. With two other planets also in their own signs, this is a unique time in the world when four major planets are in their own signs all at once. Planets gain strength and “wake up” to the truth when they are in their own signs. This may be an indication that the world will begin to wake up to the truth and find the courage to stand up for that which brings more peace, harmony and justice. We may be heading towards a “great awakening”.  This may also happen on a personal level. Individuals may discover new ways to cohabitate, earn a living or new love may surface. This will be a very passionate time in the world as well as an auspicious time to attain goals. Remember, we are all in this together and all is well in the Universe despite the chaos.

The difference between the tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac is about 23 degrees. Both systems have value. Sidereal astrologers believe the qualities of the signs are not related to the seasons, but rather to the specific portions of the ecliptic as measured against the fixed lunar stars.

By the Light of the Moon July 2020

Vedic Astrology Readings

The Full Moon Prenumbral Eclipse on July 4th and 5th, 2020 occurs in sidereal Sagittarius in the fierce lunar star of Poorvashadha symbolized by a winnowing basket as it floats down the river. This star heralds’ victories over enemies, promoting purification through celestial waters. It governs the oceans, rivers, nourishment and the embryonic fluids of birth. While we are on the precipice of massive political and global transformation, hidden truths will be unearthed giving rise to the possibility of a declaration of war. The full moon eclipse in sidereal Sagittarius may cause friction over dogmas, beliefs and religions. Jupiter governs justice and religion and owns the real estate of Sagittarius in the sky. With Mercury retrograde, gazing directly at Jupiter in July, heated arguments due to misunderstandings may unfold, especially when personal and global core beliefs and rigid religious structures become shaken. The world may face a food shortage, as well as massive earth changes in the form of tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and earth quakes which may occur within the USA before December 2020. The proverbial healing waters of Poorvashada may also bring news about a liquid vaccine before the next lunar eclipse. According to Vedic literature, during an eclipse, the molecules in the air are sticky and feisty, causing our blood platelets to become sticky and our immunity to be challenged, as well as secrets to bubble up on a global and personal level. Everyone becomes more sensitive approximately 7 days prior and 7 days following an eclipse. This is when we should allow ourselves to sleep longer, meditate, nap, sauna, steam, and indulge in magnesium warm oil baths, self-massage and clean, green eating. Bless your food. Make friends with the Spirit of the ocean this month by walking along the shore, offering gratitude and love. Stay in the eye of the Covid-19 storm by avoiding the drama, speak sweetly, allow everyone their opinion and walk gracefully with a little pep in your step and a song in your heart. Be the change the world needs. Forgive yourself and others for feeling anxious with all the uncertainty. Try to let it go and feel it pass through you like an ocean wave. United we stand. Divided we fall.

The New Moon on July 20, 2020 will occur in sidereal cancer within the sweet lunar star of Pushya represented by an udder, rich in nourishment, and a flower blossoming with ancient wisdom. While Venus is still in Taurus, it will bless us with comforts, beauty, hope and love. Dreamy Pisces will have Mars as a house guest who invites Jupiter into the picture by encouraging the world to closely examine financial matters as well as the turbulence surrounding foreign affairs. With four planets retrograde, new beginnings will be slow and steady with the anticipation of a much-needed fresh new start. Despite the retrograde planets pulling our global and personal energy backwards, community will begin to devise new plans for forward motion to a new normal which can be implemented when these four planets station direct. The sign of cancer represents home and can ignite matters around our abodes, our bodies as well as the concept of our continental homeland. Perhaps some of you will be relocating, sizing down or reinventing your careers? Working from home permanently? Perhaps our homeland will undergo more restlessness or a deeper divide between democrats and republicans? Regardless, keep a peaceful heart as the new moon is the most auspicious time to implement new ideas, devise new plans and rebirth yourself into the person you have always wanted to become. It’s a great time to create a vision board, laying out pictures of all your dreams, aspirations and goals. Remember, we are all in this together and all is well in the Universe despite the mayhem.

The difference between the tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac is about 23 degrees. Both systems have value. Sidereal astrologers believe the qualities of the signs are not related to the seasons, but rather to the specific portions of the ecliptic as measured against the fixed lunar stars.

By the Light of the Moon June 2020

astrology readings

The Full Moon Penumbral Eclipse on June 5th, 2020 occurs in sidereal Scorpio in the lunar star of Jyeshtha symbolized by a mystical pendant which provides protection from negativity and brings luck.  Jyeshtha’s real estate in the stellar skies is one of the most powerful, yet most sensitive locations. It holds extreme potentials, such as magnificent victories or shocking catastrophes.  How it unfolds depends on the influence of the other planets and stars, but especially Mercury in this case since it lords over Jyeshtha. Although Mercury sits in its own sign of sidereal Gemini comfortably at the time of the full moon, one of his cohorts, Rahu, is also visiting Gemini. In Vedic mythology, Rahu is the north node of the moon and the head/mouth of the proverbial serpent. Mercury’s nature is like that of a chameleon; he will act like whomever he is with. While Rahu will be busy eclipsing the moon on June 5th, the only way Jyeshtha can potentiate a magnificent victory is through a starburst of collective prayer, love and fearlessness from as many beings as possible. According to Vedic literature, during an eclipse, the molecules in the air are heavy and feisty, causing secrets to bubble up and hidden agendas on a global and personal level to unfold publicly as Rahu’s mouth starts “talking”.  Typically, the 2-week window between the full moon and new moon after an eclipse can be quite daunting, giving rise to more bacteria, virus, food poisoning, illness and general malaise, unfortunately. The eclipse window is a time to get extra rest, do more purification rituals like meditation, sauna, steam, magnesium warm baths, self-massage and jacuzzis. Eat light, green and clean, blessing your food and those you are with. Play soothing music and read uplifting stories. It’s best not to make impulsive decisions during this time because the fruits may not deliver. Instead, wait for the new moon to make major life decisions and stay in the eye of the covid storm with a little pep in your step and a song in your heart. It’s ok to be afraid of the uncertainty every now and then. Feel it pass through you like an ocean wave. Then feel the sparkling sandy shore under your feet and know we were built for times like this.

The New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse on June 21, 2020 will occur in sidereal Gemini within the lunar star of Ardra, represented by a teardrop and associated with wind, quakes and destruction. On the light side, it is also associated with herbs, integrative healing arts, immunity and anything botanical and earthy. If you have ever dreamed to study herbology, healing or Ayurveda, this would be an ideal time to enroll in such a program. We may experience a temporary calm after the storm this summer, but with five retrograde planets, the underlying energetic direction is backwards. It may not be visceral until this Fall. Good news: With Venus still in Taurus, it may ignite new short-lived romances or it may attract past loves for a revisit or much needed closure. New encounters may not be lasting because of the backwards energy of 5 retrograde planets, but may be an opportunity to clear up outdated narratives and forgive those who may have broken our hearts. It is said that Rahu swallows the sun during a solar eclipse, making the molecules in the air dense, dark and heavy. Again, eclipse seasons are a ideal time to go inward, meditate, cleanse, pray, purify, eat clean and green and focus on building immunity. Be the change you wish to see in the world fearlessly while preparing for revelations and hidden truths to come front and center since all eclipses tend to reveal the unseen. Trust yourself, stay in your own lane, be inquisitive, be kind and be of service. Collectively and personally, our beloved celestial beings are taking us through a purification so that we may enter a beautiful new way of living in harmony with one another, the earth and its creatures. Jupiter will give rise to a new financial system next year, but only after it’s been shaken to the core. Lessons in non-attachment and surrender will serve us well, but it’s ok to be human since no one is Buddha yet. Remember, we are all in this together and all is well in the Universe.

The difference between the tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac is about 23 degrees. Both systems have value. Sidereal astrologers believe the qualities of the signs are not related to the seasons, but rather to the specific portions of the ecliptic as measured against the fixed lunar stars.

Ancient Egg Energy Cleansing

Energy Medicine Classes

Ancient Egg Energy Cleansing

Prayer: God Creator, my beloved spirit family, the faerie kingdom, the stone people, Star Nations and all ancestors who are loving, helpful and wise from the family of 100% love and light, thank you for cleansing me in body, mind and spirit. Thank you for releasing all negative thought forms, negative energies, negative attachments, or spells. I invoke the violet flame to transmute them into light. Thank you for removing all negative energy created by me or sent to me. Let all these negative energies escorted home to the light or be transformed into the light. So be it.

Picture the egg being cleansed of any energies and stating your purpose for the egg. “This egg is going to be used to cleanse….”

Light the sage, palo santo, or incense. Say an opening prayer, or affirmation to your spirit guides, ancestors, and the archangels to be with you and assist you. Whatever feels right to you to call upon to help. There is no right or wrong way to say this quick prayer, speak from the heart.

Pass the egg through the smoke of your choice while stating that this be a spiritual tool to cleanse and restore you to your highest expression of good, this egg will absorb all energies that don’t serve you well and illnesses. Then hold the egg in your hands close to your heart and imagine it being blessed with divine white light. You are asking the egg to be a spiritual tool to remove all negative and misaligned energies from your body, mind, heart, and aura.

Take a few deep breaths and when you are ready hold the egg in your dominant hand. You will be passing it over your body touching your skin or just above your skin a few inches.

Eggs should be room temperature (1 egg should suffice, but 2 may be needed)

If the egg gets too “full” while cleansing the front side of client, use a 2nd new egg for the back side of the client.

Have 1 clear glass filled ¼ with pure water for the end of the process.

Begin the Process:

Client blows an intention for purification into the egg prior to beginning the session while laying supine on the massage table.

While the client is supine on a massage table fully clothed, spin a room temperature egg in small clockwise circles along every part of the client’s body. Lift the egg in air 5 inches away the body while cleansing private parts.

Turn the client prone on the massage table.

Notice if the egg feels too full or too toxic to use for the backside of the body. Use a different egg if so.

Repeat the clockwise small circles along the body on the entire back side of the client.

How to Read an Egg Cleanse

Crack open the egg and drop the contents of the egg into the glass of water and intuit the message from the egg. Notice any striations, bubbles, strange configurations, images, color changes, odors, or any other unusual signs. Use your intuition 100% and whatever comes to you is your truth for what the egg is expressing. If are struggling for how to begin to open to these messages, read below for ideas.

Spikes, Needles, and Threads:Strings can indicate a current or past codependent relationship or “energy vampires” have tried to steal your energy. If the strings look jagged or sharp, it can mean unresolved anger was released.  Pointy objects in the shape of needles or nails, can be indicative of black magic spells or voo-doo may have been put on you in this lifetime or a previous one.  Sharp threads can signify that you have been a victim of gossip.

Bubbles:Tiny bubbles may indicate negative was absorbed into droplets within the egg. It can also be a sign that you have been tired, irritated and suffer from indigestion and gas due to stress.  Headaches and dizziness from the past may have been released. If there are many bubbles surrounding the yolk, it means you have positive spirits and/or your spirit guides looking out for you.  Big balloons are a sign of a cage, when you feel trapped in a situation that you can’t get out of quickly.  You may need to do multiple cleanses to get rid of this situation.

Cobwebs:Cobwebs can signify jealousy was or “evil eye” symptomology was present. Evil eyes look like tiny eyes, sometimes with a brown spec.  It can also indicate feeling entangled in a complicated situation with many layers of negative emotion and confusion.

Water:Cloudy: without scent or blood, there’s been a loss of vital energy via a hole in your aura which needs to be sealed and forgiven. In many folk traditions this is a sign of nightmares, PTSD, and fright. Clear: without any abnormal shapes, scents, then nothing unnatural has occurred, and no more cleanses are needed!

Yolk:When the yolk sinks to the bottom, it means heavy negativity was removed.  If part or all of the egg floats then it means there is a small problem that is still developing and can be fixed.  Another cleanse is recommended.

Egg Whites:halos surrounding the yolk mean that you make decisions too quickly and you need to slow down. Flowers in the white are a good sign. It means that negative energies are going away, and good times are on their way. The shape of a person is a sign that you have an enemy. A slim face means that enemy is male. And a round face means it is female. Seeing a faerie-like silhouette with arms and flowing clothing can mean you are being divinely guided and protected and have a sacred soul affinity with the faerie kingdom, where you are loved and cherished.

The Egg Breaks:If the egg breaks during a cleansing, please start over and repeat with a highly smudged (cleansed) new egg.

Completion:If you still feel anything lingering, you can perform another egg cleanse in a couple of days. Notice a new sense of lightness, peace of mind and grace.

Bury the egg shells and contents of the egg in the earth, making sure no animals eat it, or throw it in the ocean or a running stream. Do not flush it in your toilet if you have a septic system because the energies will live on there, disturbing you.

Relieve Anxiety & Fear with Ayurvedic Wisdom

Click here to view the accompanying PDF with recipes and other instructions

This ancient Ayurvedic recipe from India is a mixture of basmati rice, mung dal (a legume), ghee (clarified butter), and mouth-watering Indian spices.  The ingredients can easily be found at any health food store or on amazon.com. You may also find kitchadi spices on banyanbotanticals.com.  It is often called ‘Food of the Gods’, ‘Food that creates space in the body’ or ‘The Ayurvedic Food’.  This recipe has a soft, unctuous texture.  Considered a sacred and perfectly balanced food, it is easy to digest and imparts strength, vitality and deeply nourishes all the tissues of the body.  For centuries, yogis and swamis of India have eaten this food and the Ayurvedic doctors have been lovingly giving it to their patients as the ultimate food to mono-fast on for three days to two weeks at a time, or longer.  It is the good of choice during the Ayurvedic cleansing and purification process, otherwise known as pancha karma.  Its gentle laxative and detoxification effects help restore and reverse the aging process of the cells. It is naturally a free radical scavenger.

The proportions are usually 2 parts rice to 1-part mung dal, but both these and the spices can be varied according to taste preference and individual Ayurvedic constitutional needs.

Kitchadi Recipe

(tri-doshic)

2 cups of green or yellow mung dal (whole or split)

2 cups of white basmati rice

2-3 inches of fresh ginger, peeled

Ayurvedic Kitchadi Recipe

2 tblsp of fresh shredded unsweetened coconut

1 handful of fresh cilantro leaves

2 tblsp of ghee

1 heaping tblsp of fennel seeds or (crushed)

1 heaping tblsp pf coriander seeds or (crushed)

1 heaping tblsp of cumin seeds (crushed)

1 tsp of brown or black mustard seeds

1 heaping tblsp of cardamom powder or 10 pods

Rock salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

1-2 tsp of turmeric

1 bay leaf

Squeeze of lime juice to taste

Wash, and then soak mung dal overnight, wash again in the morning. Wash the rice until water is clear. In blender, liquefy cilantro, fresh ginger and coconut with some water.  Heat a large saucepan and add the ghee, fennel, coriander, cumin, mustard seeds, cardamom, and black pepper.  Be sure the ghee does not smoke.  When the mustard seeds have started to pop, add the liquefied ginger, coconut, and cilantro.  Mix on medium heat for 5 minutes, and then add the bay leaves, turmeric and salt.  Stir until lightly browned.  Stir in the mung dal and rice.  Pour in about 8 cups of water, bring to boil, and then simmer at medium low heat, lightly covered until the water has evaporated and the rice and dal are soft and unctuous.  From this point, the kitchadi should be done in approximately 20-25 minutes.  Halfway through, add lime juice.  If needed, add more water.  Serve kitchadi topped with a squeeze of fresh lime and sprinkle of coconut and chopped cilantro leaves.  Kapha and vata people can add a dash of black Krishna salt.  Bless your food and be thankful that you are able to assimilate, absorb, and deeply enjoy this meal.  Chew carefully and eat with pure awareness and gusto!  Eating can be a meditation!

Serves approximately 3-6 people.  Note: It is best to use organic ingredients whenever possible.

By the Light of the Moon May 2020

New beginnings will take shape starting April 22 on the new moon in sidereal Aries. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and considered the proverbial children of the cosmos; innocent, naive, eager, playful, filled with wonder and curiosity. This will be the theme for the next 2 weeks until the full moon.

Vedic Astrology Webinars

Read the full article in Natural Awakenings Magazine

The Full Moon on May 7, 2020 occurs in sidereal Libra in the lunar star of Vishakha symbolized by a triumphal gateway which can give rise to enthusiasm, faith and hope for the future. But wait-- Vishaka’s fruits are generally delayed which could indicate a possible unexpected critical global relapse later this year. With Vishakha’s delay, exercise patience and fearlessness while continuing to be fastidious with hygiene, treating food as medicine, choosing immune boosting daily routines, and raising our personal vibration with online community prayer and meditation. Stay in the “eye” of the COVID-storm. This full moon is in a “parivartana yoga” (exchange) with her friend Venus. When the Moon and Venus play together in the cosmos, they make beautiful music, art and romance. Together, they ignite creative and intuitive powers worldwide.

This full moon sits in the 6th house of health, inspiring the world to continue to purify, heal and focus on wellness projects. While the moon is busy nurturing everyone, her yoga partner Venus, will be busy opening hearts and uniting lovers. While Mercury directly aspects the Moon, making everyone a little crazy, Uranus, who governs technology, causes unexpected matters to come front and center globally and personally. Regardless, hope and love are in the air while Venus and Moon finally dance together! May the Divine Mother (Moon), shine her light on the dark corners of our world and bring peace to our hearts and minds collectively and personally.

The New Moon on May 22, 2020 will occur in sidereal Taurus the lunar star of Mrigashira, represented by the head of a deer and symbolic of the hidden treasures that arise after the proverbial “churning of the sea” in ancient Vedic mythology. “Churning of the sea” is synonymous to a world pandemic. This new energy will usher in pearls of wisdom and the true reasons for global crisis. The hidden gifts in the 9/11 crisis can be seen through the sacrificial love that was shown by the first responders and heroes that risked their lives to help the victims. It opened the hearts of all, deepening bonds and supporting trust and kindness within the communities of NYC and the world. Being of service to one another, at all costs, became the divine focal point.

The pandemic of 2020 will also herald in a sweeter sense of community, while purifying faulty systems within the government, reinventing financial institutions, and redefining how we have treated our bodies, the earth and its sentient creatures. Spring is the ideal time to detox our bodies with intermittent fasting (try not eating until noon for 1 week), immersing in nature, eating vegan and letting go of fear, uncertainty and hording behaviors. Taurus is “strong like bull” which can encourage building your muscle mass with exercise, stretching, and eating foods that support your individual constitution. Expect one more catastrophic event that may happen before Sept 2020. This event will bring us all even closer together than we could have imagined.

Now is the time to heal family relationships, leave toxic people, forgive, re-evaluate your soul’s purpose, think about a new job, or a new way of doing your current job. Begin to see the world through new lens because we are entering a brand-new beautiful world. Mrigashra is here to remind us of the what happens to the earth when the proverbial “sea is churned”. Hidden treasures are coming, but we must be patient.

Option: Pour tea thru a tea strainer with 1 tsp of black organic darjeeling tea or decaffeinated rooibos ¾ of the way full. In a separate small pan, simmer ¼ cup of organic nut-milk, cow or goat milk on medium heat for 5 mins. Use a milk “frother” to froth the milk. After your tea has steeped for 5 minutes. Add raw honey (stored in a glass jar) to your teacup to taste, then add the milk froth & gently stir. Sprinkle cinnamon powder on top. Bless. Sip slowly with deep gratitude. Allow the remaining chai tea in the saucepan to cool to room temperature before putting it in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.

*Note: This is concentrated considered medicine. Please drink in moderation. If you start to notice digestive irritation, take a rest from drinking this for at least 1-3 days. Next time you drink it, add more water or milk. Everyone is different, so adjust the intensity accordingly.

Natural Awakenings Mag Moon Report April 2020

FullMoondreams.jpg

By The Light of The Moon

Read the article at Natural Awakenings Magazine here.

The Full Moon on April 7, 2020 will occur in sidereal Virgo in the lunar star of Chitra symbolized by a shining jewel, giving rise to the proverbial celestial architect. This full moon will aspect Mercury in Pisces, where it can cause weak and wonky global and personal communications. Be mindful to speak and write clearly and listen with your heart. Quiet your busy mind with daily meditation, even if it’s only 5 minutes. Close your eyes when you can. When the eyes are still, the mind is still. Mercury governs the respiratory track, large intestines and skin. While the moon is shining directly at Mercury from approximately April 7th through April 9th, practice the ancient yogic art of alternate nostril breathing (pranayama), apply warm massage oils to your skin while in the shower and eat clean, green, vegan and foods made with love. While the moon is in Virgo, it will support your plans to exercise, eat lightly, do yoga and walks in beauty of nature. It’s a splendid time to focus on your health in body, mind and spirit, while aligning your thoughts, words and actions. By the light of this full moon, answers to some of your pressing questions may be revealed and truths about the coronavirus and other global issues may be unveiled. May the Divine Mother (Moon), shine her light on the dark corners of our world and bring peace to our hearts and minds collectively and personally.

The New Moon on April 22, 2020 will occur in sidereal Aries the lunar star of Ashwini, represented by the head of a horse and symbolic of the celestial physician. This new energy will herald in personal and collective healing. The world will be ready to step into a new paradigm where health takes “front and center”. Mysterious illnesses can be overcome with new perspectives or with new health practitioners or therapists. Spring is the ideal time to detox your body and let go of what or who no longer supports you in order to invite something new and wonderful into your life. Aries is the passionate pioneer who invents new ideas and is impulsively playful. It’s a great time to start a new job, begin a new relationship or find a new playmate. Why not find a new therapist or coach who will inspire you to manifest your dreams? Remove the heaviness of winter that has accumulated in your tissues by reducing dairy, sugar, meats and gluten. Instead of going to the gym, try exercising outside in the sun, go for a horse ride along the beach, sit in a sauna or steam room, get a restorative massage, stretch more and eat only fruit in the mornings to increase your telomeres.

March 2020 Sidereal Moon Astrology Forecast

AstrologyClasses.jpg

The Full Moon on March 9, 2020 will occur in sidereal Leo in the lunar star of Uttara Phalguni symbolized by a hammock, representing kindness, patronage, bringing community together and helping those in need. This full moon end Mercury’s journey retrograde. As Mercury stations direct on the March 9th, things will start to pick up speed. The moon will shine on our next steps forward and Mercury will be the wind beneath our wings. It will bring intense revelations in media, followed by swift repercussions. There’s never a dull moment when the full moon in Leo shines on Mercury as it stations direct in sidereal Aquarius on the same day! The zodiac sign of Leo can represent leaders, presidents, government and authority. The light of this full moon may shine on the hidden agendas of leaders of countries, state officials, as well as authorities in your work place. Leo is a fixed fire sign, giving rise to stubbornness and ego, but can also ignite enthusiasm, adventure and passion. Events that unfold during this time may inspire community to come together in the spirit of unity. If there was something you were wondering about personally or globally or were seeking answers to a conundrum, the time is ripe for solutions to arise now. May the Divine Mother (Moon), shine her light on the dark corners of our world and bring peace to our hearts and minds collectively and personally.

The New Moon on March 23, 2020 will occur in sidereal Pisces the lunar star of Uttarabhadrapada, represented by a funeral cot (bed) and symbolic of the renunciation of worldly possessions. This is a time to realize our true essence is stardust and spirit and we are merely borrowing a physical body in this lifetime to learn more about love and who we truly are.  With this awareness, it’s a great time to start a new philanthropic project, job or pioneer something you’ve always dreamed of! If you are not sure what new thing to do, then simply become and embody the change you wish to see in the world. Pisces is watery, dreamy and expansive, inspiring us to reach our fullest potential individually and globally. Dreams can come true. The moon will be at the same degree as the proverbial serpent in the sky we call the Nodes, specifically Rahu (head) and Ketu (tail).  When the Nodes are at the same degree of any planet or star, this can give rise to massive transformation and purification in our lives and in the world. Why not immerse yourself in a green juice 1-day cleanse, try a vegan diet for 1-week and head to the local yoga studio or gym to take advantage of all the newness that surrounds us? Spring is a great time to remove Winter toxins from your body with a therapeutic warm oil massage, then make an appointment for professional colon hydrotherapy and make space in your body for new beginnings.

Feb 2020 Moon Astrology Forecast

By the Light of the Sidereal Moon

PsychicReadings.jpg

The Full Moon on Feb 9, 2020 will occur in sidereal Cancer in the lunar star of Ashlesha, symbolized by the coiled serpent. The serpent represents our kundalini or life force at the base of our spines, as well as healing with herbs or suffering from poisons that alter the state of mind. The zodiac sign of Cancer brings these matters home, as well as in the global waters of foreign affairs. Be sure to drink only the best filtered water and beverages this month. With Saturn’s gaze, beware of the tendencies for rigidity in your personal lives as well as government dogma and righteousness which can lead to conflict. Ashlesha can be sneaky, but by the light of this particular full moon, thieves, cheaters and liars of all kinds will suddenly become public and held accountable. With Venus exalted in the 6th house of litigation, we can expect some wonky arguments based on exaggerations and a sense of entitlement both personally and globally. Stay in your own lane and practice kindness. A Cancer moon is very strong because she’s in her proverbial home, purifying all the cobwebs that were once hidden in the basement of our lives. Pay attention to matters of motherhood and family by being extra kind and forgiving to your own mother or mother-like women in your orbit and your own children this month.  May the Divine Mother (Moon), shine her light on the dark corners of our world and bring world peace.

The New Moon on Feb 23, 2020 will occur in sidereal Aquarius the lunar star of Shatabisha, represented by an empty circle and the cosmic and terrestrial waters.  Symbolic of all things aquatic, Shatabisha can cause watery and emotional upheaval which can give rise to new beginnings as this lunar star will wash away emotional situations that no longer serve us. As moon shares her home with mercury while he’s in retrograde this month, it can cause feelings of lunacy, misunderstandings, delays, feelings of heightened intuition and sensitivity or both. Use your sensitivity for compassion and know that this too shall pass. It’s a grand time to begin a new career or launch a new idea or book. This is a time of sacred and purposeful reflection and a chance to reinvent yourself at any age.

January 6th Sidereal Lunar Eclipse – By the Light of the Moon 2020

Astrology Readings

The Full Moon on January 10th, 2020 will occur in sidereal Gemini in the lunar star of Punarvasu, which stands for expanded consciousness, truth and unbounded space, represented by a quiver of arrows. This is a lunar eclipse, which will create a transformative effect over the next 6 months in our global and personal lives. This lunar star will support us globally by illuminating more hidden truths regarding foreign affairs and our own government. Once these truths are revealed, the massive global changes will create new, more elevated, broader paradigms worldwide. Such monumental energy shifts in group consciousness may also produce intense earth quakes and other natural eruptions along the geographical locations where the eclipse will be visible with the naked eye. This may create a departure portal for those whom do not wish to experience the new unbounded space and truth that Punarvasu brings us. On a personal level, this alignment will assist all of us to purify what no longer brings us joy. It is time for more bliss, love and harmony, but before this can manifest, we may need to endure a global and personal crisis or epiphany, heralding in a new error of happiness. With prayer and being more loving to ourselves and the people we touch, we can soften the degree of the impending crisis. Keep your attention on justice, truth and kindness in your personal life. Step into the imminent joy faster by embodying the change you wish to see and do not get lost in the storm. Lay your roots down in the eye of the storm by staying in your own lane. Get a massage, do more self-care, more rest, more yoga, more service to community and eat clean and green. Anything that was stuffed under the rug in 2019 will rear its ugly head so that we can finally let go and experience a liberated ending and a brand-new beginning.

The New Moon on Jan 24, 2020 will occur in sidereal Capricorn the lunar star of Uttaraashadha, represented by the tusk of Ganesha, India’s favorite elephant. Uttaraashadha brings attributes of introspection, intensity and penetrating thought to our lives. It heralds worldwide and personal innovation, giving rise to new beginnings on many levels because she is holding hands with Saturn as he makes his way into the sidereal sign on Capricorn after residing in Sagittarius for the last 2.5 years. This is a time of sacred and purposeful transformation. Saturn considers himself home in the sign of Capricorn, which will give him strength and power. Any new startups at this time will carry the strength of Saturn and the sweetness of the moon. Uttaraashada may ask some of us to see the dentist this month, as it represents teeth/tusk on a mundane level, but it may also ask us to design a more structured plan and consider our next major life transition more carefully and thoughtfully since Capricorn is the opposite of impulsivity.  Remember, we are all in this together and all is well in the Universe.

The difference between the tropical zodiac and the sidereal zodiac is about 23 degrees. Both systems have value. Sidereal astrologers believe the qualities of the signs are not related to the seasons, but rather to the specific portions of the ecliptic as measured against the fixed lunar stars.

quote-my-evenings-are-taken-up-very-largely-with-astrology-i-make-horoscopic-calculations-carl-jung-84-82-94.jpg

Is it a true science of the stars or something only the gullible and weak give their power to?

How can stars impact our daily lives?

Why are some threatened by it, or disregard it, while others are seemingly consumed by it?

If you are still reading this, you are in good company, as over 90% of adults know what their sun sign is.  Before I begin to demystify this time-proven science, I’d like to share what many respected authorities and celebrities have to say about it:

“Millionaires don’t do astrology, billionaires do.”- JP Morgan.

“We are born in a given moment, at a given place, and like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and the season of which we are born. Astrology doesn’t lay claim to anything more.” - Carl Jung.

President Theodore Roosevelt kept his horoscope mounted on a chess board in the oval office.

“Oh, the wonderful knowledge to be found in the stars. Even the smallest things are written there…if you had but skill to read.”- Ben Franklin.

“Astrology is a science in itself and contains an illuminating body of knowledge. It taught me many things and I am greatly indebted to it.”- Albert Einstein.

Donald Reagan, formerly Ronald Reagan’s Chief of Staff said: “It’s common knowledge that a large percentage of Wall Street brokers use astrology.”

“A physician without the knowledge of astrology has no right to call himself a physician.”- Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine.

John Dee was an Anglo-Welsh mathematician, astronomer, astrologer and occult philosopher, and an advisor to Queen Elizabeth I. He spent much time on alchemy, divination, and Hermetic philosophy. He also advocated turning England's imperial expansion into a "British Empire", a term he is credited with coining. It is thought that he built the stone tower located in Touro Park in Newport, Rhode Island in the 17th century.  A tour is offered annually on the day of the solstice because of the way the light of the sun shines through the tower at a specific angle, making it act like a mystical clock.

Keeping in mind that time is a man-made concept, history shows that before there were real clocks, astrology was the only way the ancient indigenous people could track time and space, predict the future, plant their crops and prevent calamities. Aligned with the natural biorhythms of nature, they realized if they could track the past using the stars, they could also track the future because the circle of life is a series of repeated mathematical patterns, just as the sun rises and sets each day. For example, by knowing the time the sun rises, we can predict how the day will unfold and what time the sun will set.

Aligned with astronomy, Vedic astrology puts more value on the constellation that was rising on the eastern horizon at the time of our birth instead of what constellation the sun was in. There are twelve constellations, each of them dancing on the eastern horizon in perfect and predictable harmony every two hours. Well-trained astrologers understand that the snapshot of the sky at the time of birth or at the start of any auspicious event, can be decoded by understanding the formulas, patterns, sacred geometry and mathematical language of the cosmos. The Vedic sciences call this a Vidya, which is a Sanskrit word describing the union of art, science and magic.

Unfortunately, there are many astrologers who inadvertently water down this science by making generalizations and one-size-fits-all predictions based purely on one of the 9 planets we call the Sun. While unofficially categorized as a planet, the Sun is actually a star, a great luminary that plays a very powerful part in our cosmology, but belongs to an entire family of eight other very important players (planets) on our stage of life. Consequently, such predictions can only be partially accurate because we are missing information and “opinions” from the rest of the cosmic family (the other 8 planets). Also, such general predictions don’t take into consideration the condition of our individual static natal charts, all the current dynamic planetary transits within the cosmos or the unique natal cycles and lunar stars each individual was born into. Consequently, mainstream magazines and newspaper astrology columns based on only the Sun generalizations cause many to discredit astrology completely.

Astrology, when done correctly, is considered one of the great many paths up the mountain of enlightenment and self-discovery. Knowing our blueprint can help give us direction, illuminate our soul’s purpose, help soften impending challenging events by doing remedial measures, explain why we are the way we are and how and why other people see us as such. It can help us understand our past karmas, release us from guilt and shame, love ourselves exactly as we are and inspire us to forgive those who have hurt us because we can see how they were wired at birth. Once we understand our blueprint, we can then begin to transcend it with the power of prayer, right action and loving thoughts. By understanding it, we are no longer “gripped” by it.

“In the sunshine of awareness, everything is sacred.”-Thich Nat Hahn.

With such awareness, we are empowered. Most religions are designed to disempower the masses, encouraging us to give away our money and power while we remain blindly asleep, lullabied by false promises of salvation. They use scare tactics that the devil will get us if we wake up and become aware. Natural law touts, “Where there is fear, there can be no love and we will receive everything according to our beliefs.”

Astrology has transformed my life, while affirming my life’s purpose, lighting up all my past and future choices, and also quieting my inner critic to be still and accept what is.

zodiac-sign-scorpio-jigsaw-puzzle-1000-pieces.51540-1.fs.jpg

The predictions and remedial measures listed below apply to all people with Scorpio moons, Scorpio suns and Scorpio ascendants, based on the tropical zodiac from Oct 23-Nov 22.

  1. Zodiac symbol: Scorpion

  2. Zodiac element: Water

  3. Zodiac quality: Fixed

  4. Planet: Mars & Pluto

  5. Color: Orange

  6. Stones of Mars: Red Coral

Traits: Scorpio star sign is the most intense sign in the zodiac. They are known for their passion, assertiveness, privacy, determination, and decisiveness. Scorpio is also considered as the most sensual sign of the zodiac, governing the root chakra and things hidden. Scorpio’s positive traits include a keen focus, courage, loyalty, and ambition. Their negative traits include jealousy, possessiveness, secrecy, domination, and resentfulness.

Love:  The Sun has been burning on Venus, on and off, since June 11, 2019, which is ruling Scorpio’s 7th house of love, marriage and partnership this month. This can play out several ways, all dependent on your personal natal chart. It can burn and purify toxic, stagnant relationships, or it can light up new and unexpected romances since Uranus is sitting in Scorpio’s 7th house this month. Neptune, the planet of romance and illusions is sitting in Scorpio’s 5th house of dating and affairs, which can bring in new and dreamy love affairs! Neptune may even resurface lovers from the past this month since it’s retrograde. The Sun will finally stop burning on Venus on Nov 2nd, 2019, which will bring some relief and clarity in love. Couples may either redefine the terms of their relationships or choose to end it entirely; especially Neptune brought one of them a new option.

To pacify Venus and bring more luck to the love department, practice the following remedial measures:

·      Say the Hawaiian Ho’Ponopono Novena to your lover or to yourself daily: “Please forgive me, I am so sorry, I love you, I forgive you, I bless you and I thank you.” For Venus, say this 6X each hour for 6 hours over a period of 6 days. Venus vibrates to the number six. It doesn’t matter who is right or wrong. Let that go and just say these words like you mea it, from your heart, and expect major internal transformations.

·      Donate to the local art museums or donate your time to teaching art.

·      Supported forward bending such that the head is below the heart, will inspire gentleness, humility and forgiveness.

Money: On Dec 3rd, 2019, Jupiter, the planet that governs money and the bank, among other things, is moving into Capricorn after being in Sagittarius for 1 year. When this happens, there will be many changes in money coming from career. Jupiter isn’t comfortable in the sign of Capricorn and will become officially debilitated on Dec 3 in the tropical zodiac. Debilitation can often mean the fields of living that a planet governs can go a little “wonky”. Depending on your natal chart, it can go “wonky” for the better or worse. To tame Jupiter and help stabilize your finances this month, practice the following remedial measures:

·      Donate to the Boston’s Children Hospital

·      Wear yellow or have yellow flowers in your home

·      Offer to help or teach children

·      Help out at the soup kitchen

·      Clean out your closets and donate to Good Will

·      Offer to be of service to one of your favorite high school or college professors

This new moon can give rise to new burst of creativity and artistic projects such as writing because the Sun, Venus, Mercury and Moon will all be sitting in the sign of Libra together on Sept 29th. You may also feel drawn to teaching art, writing, dance or any other form of creative expression. It’s a perfect time to clean out your closet and reinvent your wardrobe, your style or get a new haircut! On a small piece of paper, write down one thing, thought, belief, feeling or one person that has become toxic in your life. Fold that paper up into a tiny flat square. Then find at least 3 stones outside and stack them on top of each other, which is called a stone stuppa. Put your folded tiny paper under the stone stuppa and ask the Powers that Be, God, the stone fairies or whomever you believe in to help you let this go.

Full Moon: Oct 14 in the sign of Aries.

This full moon can feel like another new start on some level because Aries is the 1st sign of the zodiac. An Aires full moon can bring in lots of impulsive energy and excitement. As well, it can help bring in clarity and illumination to any confusion, doubts or secrets. If you’ve been waiting for answers or a solution to something that have been heavy on your mind since around the new moon, rest assured, nature will give you messages. Go outside to look and listen for such messages from the plant and animal kingdom, as well as from a person. As the moon rises in the sky, take the folded tiny paper from under your stone stuppa, put it in a small metal dish and burn it. As the smoke rises, give gratitude to the Powers that be for helping bring in more lightness to your life.
