This class is 1.5 days in duration.
When: Friday, September 26, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm: Demonstration. Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 10am to 5pm. Students driving from a distance have permission to skip the demonstration on the first day if they promise to watch my demonstration on the online video, which I will supply to everyone.

Investment: $425 if you purchase our shirodhara equipment before class. Purchasing equipment is an option, not mandatory.

This 1.5-day Intensive Training includes the Online Shirodhara Course. Students are required to study the online course before attending the in-person class. This is because the in-person class is geared toward practice, practice, practice, and not so much about concepts and theories. Cradled by warm, smooth stones, this mind-melting ancient oil therapy enlivens our innate intelligence, igniting automatic self-healing. This Ayurvedic therapy dispels negative thoughts by dispersing the negative electrical impulses that accumulate at our foreheads from overthinking and stress. Learn how to provide a continuous flow of oil over the forehead of your clients to renew the sweetness of their lives. Sacred Stone provides Shirodhara systems for students to practice during class. Anyone can come. You don't have to be a healer or massage therapist. All students will give and receive shirodhara therapy under my guidance and witness a demonstration. This particular shirodhara therapy is unique because it incorporates heated and chilled sea stones to help harmonize and ground the clients during this uplifting therapy. It helps pacify the "internal wind" we all carry from stress. Karyn also uses stones in the oil to help regulate the oil's temperature and infuse the ocean's prana within the matrix of each stone.

On the first day, Karyn will lead the class through the concepts, theory, benefits, precautionary measures, and a demonstration of shirodhara therapy and a guided stone harvest. On the second day of class, students can practice and receive shirodhara therapy through a guided practicum forum with Karyn. Shirodhara therapy involves a controlled flow of warm oil gently pouring over the “Ajna” or third eye chakra. The oil then streams down the crown chakra, which magnifies the senses, awakens the body’s natural healing process, reverses imbalances within the body, rejuvenates the face, and renews the sweetness of life. Shirodhara is one of the most unique therapies for reducing stress and enhancing cellular intelligence and immunity.

Please Note: To become an effective shirodhara therapist, it takes devotion, practice and more practice. The motivation to learn shirodhara therapy must come from your heart. It is not a therapy you can learn in a few days and become an expert, nor is this a therapy you should water- down in order to make make more money in your spa. This is a very sacred, profound art that takes lots of time and dedication to learn.

What To Bring?
1 lemon
Massage table and linens (Top sheet and fitted sheet)
2 hand towels
Hair ties or rubber bands to pull hair back
Old winter hat to apply after to prevent oil dripping from your hair during the remainder of class
2 Quarts of cold-pressed jojoba oil is best for practice since it doesn’t stain or cause as much of a mess as other oils because it’s actually considered a “wax”. (Other unrefined organic edible oils are acceptable for practice)
1 large towel
Pen or pencil + paper
Bring a hard copy of your shirodhara manual as found online at the link that was sent to you or bring a laptop/Ipad to follow the manual electronically.
1 massage table with foam padding, bolster and blanket.
Please note: Sacred Stone is not responsible for traveling expenses should the class be canceled due to inclement weather or if the instructor is sick. It’s only a 2% chance this will happen, but it’s important for long-distance students to be aware of this ahead. We don’t have a list of substitute teachers locally, so if a teacher is sick, class will be rescheduled. Students must make travel plans with this in mind when planning to attend Sacred Stone classes from out town.
